Tiny Hope In A Decade Of Misery
Twelve years of suffering, she was rejected because of her disease; she had a very bad smell. She had bled nonstop for twelve years (the ladies can understand this). She had spent all her money, yet there was no visible and tangible progress in the cure treatment; instead, everything got worse. Her family could no longer tolerate her stench, her friends deserted her, there was absolutely no one she could turn to. But she held on to one thing – Hope.
A hope that God might see her one day. A hope that one day God would heal her. She had heard how Jesus had healed the leper, opened the eyes of the blind, raised the dead, opened deaf ears; the list was endless. So, she said to herself that one day Jesus would see her and heal her. Guess what? It’s disheartening to think that Jesus passed by without noticing her, as the crowd was too dense for Him to see her. Despite being in the same neighborhood, Jesus didn’t acknowledge her presence or call out her name. So sad.
Of Course We Have Been There
It’s not uncommon for Christians to find themselves in seemingly hopeless situations, where they earnestly pray for God’s intervention, yet the desired outcome doesn’t materialize. This can be particularly challenging when we witness non-believers seemingly receiving their desires, sometimes even more than they asked for. We may observe our friends, neighbors, or classmates achieving their goals effortlessly, while our own basic wishes remain unfulfilled, and the situation persists for an extended period. Despite our consistent prayers and attendance at church, we may question why this discrepancy exists. do we do?
The woman never gave up – she knew that Jesus had everything it takes to heal her because she had seen results in others. All she did was increase her faith – that even if it’s his cloth, it should be enough to heal her. She indeed struggled through the crowd (with her very bad smell, not minding what people are saying), stretched her hand, and held on to the tiniest part of Jesus’s cloth (you could call it the hem of his garment), and instantly she got healed. Hallelujah!!
Precious little one, please have faith. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow; he has everything in abundance to take care of that thing that looks like an ugly situation. He may be slow on your timing, but he is never slow on his timing as regards what he wants for you. Keep praying and keep believing. Sometimes God keeps silent to see how much faith we have. Read Psalm 77.
Remember God loves you much more than you can ever imagine and waiting for you in open arms to receive you when u pray
Remain Blessed Always
