Youth Bible Study
Verse Of the Day
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord forever.
If The Lord Should Come Now
Imagine the World Cup and Olympic Games, envision the bustling activities like flight schedules, business meetings, security briefings, and political summits. Now, picture a scenario where none of these matters as someone significant arrives in the world. News loses its relevance as Christ comes into focus. What once occupied our minds—careers, daily needs, relationships—pales in comparison to the pivotal choice between standing with God in righteousness or harboring secret sins. This moment forces us to confront our deepest selves, with our life’s journey flashing before us in an instant. As the Bible describes, when Christ appears, the living saints will swiftly ascend to meet Him in the sky
A Day Full of Horror And Joy
It will be a dreadful day for those of us who have been lukewarm in our faith, oscillating between sin and righteousness. Many of us portray religious devotion by attending church while denying God in our daily thoughts, words, and actions. These are the individuals who will witness the saints ascending to meet the Lord, realizing that they had ample opportunities to ascend but were distracted by worldly pleasures and trivial matters. We will lament, wishing we had spent more time reading the Bible, paying attention during church services, repenting from sinful habits, and praying fervently. The inclusion of “if only” indicates that it would have been too late by then. On the other hand, those who find themselves ascending will experience indescribable joy as their mortal bodies transform into radiant angels, realizing they have been chosen. This joy is indeed worth striving for.
God Knows And Sees All Things
“A few days ago, I stumbled upon a thought-provoking Facebook post that resonated deeply with me—it read, ‘In this era, many are at ease on the path to ruin.’ It’s disheartening to witness the current state of affairs on Earth. While I’m thankful not to bear the burdens of divine judgment, I can’t shake off the sadness over humanity’s choices, including my own. Each day, we fall into sin, neglect our connection with God, and deny His presence in our lives. As a parent, it pains me to see children persistently defy authority without remorse or change. It’s akin to granting a wish only to see it squandered repeatedly. Just as a wise steward would hesitate to entrust crucial matters to a wayward child, God expects us to heed His wisdom in the Bible for eternal fulfillment. The unimaginable wonders and blessings reserved for those who genuinely love Him surpass human comprehension, echoing 1 Corinthians 2:9.”
And For You My Dear Youth
The Good news is that you are not in that “if only” yet. You are still at the mercy of God. Jesus is still calling, like the days of Noah, the ark is still open. The arms of God are still wide open to receive you. His invitation is open: join His kingdom. The guidebook (Bible) unlocks understanding. Spend time with Him, and He’ll reveal its wisdom
Prayer
May this message take root within us, Lord. When the day comes, may it bring joy, not regret. Amen.
Overcoming Addiction
I write to you, young men and women, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one (ESV 1 John 2.14)
