Tears in My Eyes, Sorrow In My Heart

Lord, how long should I trust? How long should I wait? Lord, I am not sure my heart can take the pain anymore, and my patience might run out. Though I trust in you, the reality seems to have caught up with me, and my eyes can no longer hold back my tears. My tears now flow down like rain. As the rain waters the grass, so my tears water my cheeks. How long should it continue to flow, Lord? Lord, I am not brave. I have waited for too long. Lord, when will it be my turn? Others are getting what they asked for, what they wished for, and what they intend to have. Right before my eyes, someone got a wonderful miracle. It’s as if the more I pray, the worse things get.

The more I seek Your presence, the more challenges seem to arise. I strive to live righteously, to align with Your will, and to avoid straying from Your path. Yet, it’s disheartening to witness those who disregard morality seemingly prospering more than I am. Lord, please don’t remain silent. Reveal Your love, goodness, and glory to me, so I may experience the beauty of Your presence and behold Your magnificent face.

The passage above reflects the heartfelt expression of a believer in God. Do we find ourselves in similar circumstances? Prayer is essentially an authentic dialogue with God, rooted in intimacy, respect, and genuine love. While God may not physically appear to communicate with us, He can speak through prophets, dreams, and most significantly, through His written word. He has already sent messages of hope ahead of us, encouraging us to cling to His promises. With unwavering faithfulness and righteousness, God ensures that His words will come to fruition. The Bible abounds with God’s promises, and today, let’s anchor ourselves in this specific word the Lord has spoken.

Psalm 91:14-16 “Because you hold fast to me in love, I will deliver you; I will protect you because you know my name. When you call to me, I will answer; I will be with you in trouble; I will rescue you and honor you. With long life I will satisfy you and show you my salvation.”

I’m sure we all recall the story of Joseph (Genesis 37, 39, 40 & 41) – a young man who may have felt like crying out in despair, yet God ultimately intervened for him. Just as He did for Joseph, He will also come through for you, my dear, sweet, and faithful young believer. Don’t give in to despair, and don’t lose hope, because we serve a living God who fully knows and understands our struggles. Stay strong in your faith.ng in faith.

Remember God loves you much more than you can ever imagine and waiting for you in open arms to receive you when u pray.
