The Unwavering Love of God: Unlocking the Power of Eternal Life in Christ

Youth Bible Study

Verse Of the Day

John 3.16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

The Selfless Love of Parents

A loving parent goes out of his way to cater to the needs of his children. Most times we see parents wailing, running around, and looking for a child who has intentionally run away from home. The parents know that the child knows little about life and is bound to face danger. Filled with love the parents seek out the child and bring him or her home. That’s exactly what God is doing to us. Our human understanding may be limited, but God, who is all-knowing, comprehends the cosmic forces both within and beyond this world, which aim to harm humanity. As His prized creation and the apple of His eye, God ensures our protection and reaches out to us to prevent our destruction

God’s Love In Eden

We might perceive Adam and Eve’s expulsion from Eden as a punishment, but it was an act of love. Had they eaten the fruit of life, they would have gained immortality but also faced eternal condemnation, akin to Satan’s fate (Genesis 3:22). It’s crucial to remember that the fruit they consumed was from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. God’s love led Him to send Jesus, providing us with eternal life not through fulfilling our desires but through obedience, exemplified by His sacrificial death on the cross. Jesus succeeded where Adam failed in obedience, demonstrating it fully

Eternal Life

God’s love for the world led Him to give His only Son, offering eternal life to those who believe in Him. This eternal life not only addresses corruption but also brings a new quality of life, reminiscent of the age to come that God originally intended for Adam in Eden. Jesus demonstrated this life through miracles like walking on water, raising the dead, and healing the sick, showing that in this life, negativities are overcome. Mark 16:17-18 confirms that believers will perform similar signs, as seen in the apostles’ actions.

Demonstrating Eternal Life

Being conscious of eternal life in us through Christ makes us live above negative circumstances. This is because everything in such life is good. So, if we have eternal life we are confident that we can subdue the challenges of the present life. That is what Christ has done for us and wants us to demonstrate. Can we demonstrate these things? Yes. As Christians, we should be ambassadors of Christ wherever we are. When eyes are filled with tears around us, when people feel sick around us, even when a person dies around us. We should be conscious of eternal life in us and whatever Christ did while on earth we can do.

And For You My Dear Youth

What is the challenge you are facing? route yourself through prayer and fasting, speak to it, and see the result. In Mark 11:23 Jesus didn’t say pray to God about this mountain, he didn’t say negotiate with this mountain, he didn’t say cry about this mountain rather he said speak to this mountain. That’s Eternal life he has left us with

The only thing that can stop us from manifesting these dimensions is sin. Consider this: When you yield yourselves in obedience, you become slaves to whomever you obey. Are you then slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? (Romans 6:16-18). If we yield ourselves to righteousness in God then we are sure to dispense eternal life and be in control of our lives. We still have the option of a sinful life and remain under the shackles of the enemy. The choice is ours. God has done his part.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, guide me to live righteously, seeking Your will above all. Grant me unwavering trust in Your word, for I know prayers from a righteous heart hold power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Overcoming Addiction

I write to you, young men and women, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one (ESV 1 John 2.14)
