Let Your Light Shine – For God Is with You
He was wounded, beaten, stripped of his belongings and left half dead by the road side. Many people passed without helping him, even the highly religious men went about their business without a helping hand. Eventually it was an unlikely man that helped him.
That’s the story of the Good Samaritan as told by Jesus. One of the moral lessons drawn from that is that the dying man got help where he least expected. The Jews & Samaritans hated themselves so much that a Jew would consider himself unclean if touched by a Samaritan. But here was a Samaritan who put such ugly stuff behind to help a brother. You too can be gentle my dear, you may never know where your help might come from tomorrow. Refrain from malice and be at peace with all. In his words Jesus wants us to be peace makers for by doing so we shall be children of God.
The lesson we have to learn from here is not expecting everyone to be good. Even though we are peaceful and good to everyone does not mean we should expect such in return. The world is wicked and people are not always nice. The dying man in the above story could have been innocent but the robbers who beat him up cared less about that. More than expecting bad things Jesus said we should be the light of this world – that we should allow our goodness bring light to this dark world, our kindness to lighten up this wicked world. And sure, a reward awaits us in eternity
God’s promise
Psalm 147:3 – He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.
This is a promise from God that even though the world might be cruel to us. Even though we might experience wickedness in this world, even though people might cheat us, even though most people will be rude to us and hurt our feelings, some might even go ahead to physically abuse us. God is telling us that He will heal our heart and heal our wounds both emotional and physical. Just like above Samaritan, God will not look upon our mistakes or sins rather he will come down and help our infirmity in the way we never expected. We just have to have faith in him and trust him with all our heart.
Remember God loves you much more than you can ever imagine and waiting for you in open arms to receive you when u pray
Remain Blessed Always
